culture day

So, Friday was Culture Day here in Japan. It was a bank holiday, so the school was closed. And I spent culture day... going with English speaking friends to an American style mall, eating American style fast food, and shopping at American chain import stores.

I guess it's just a question of whose culture I was celebrating?

i have a sudden feeling disaster is imminent

so i may be experiencing my first case of food poisoning in japan
only i think i have nobody to blame but myself

you see i made rice this weekend
I'd left it in the rice cooker instead of putting it in tupperware in the fridge
when I went to get some for lunch today, some of it had mold on it
I threw away the moldy bits and ate some of the rest
that may have been a bad idea

i really hope this is just fatigue from biking home in the wind and rain

[edit] Better now. It passed off within an hour or so, actually, but I still feel residually wobbly.

Lesson learned! :X
