Well, we have solved the mystery of the missing roommate. He was in a car accident the day after the lease was signed.

Where am I supposed to get a new roommate at this time of year?

[edit] Must clarify, roommate is not dead. But his mother at least does not think he'll be moving in any time soon. :-\ On one hand she seems to think it reasonable to continue to pay his half of the rent through the summer months. On the other hand, I was kind of counting on his furniture, and it's kind of lonely here.

woe and wurra! the tale of ikea

Well, I went to Ikea and bought my desk all right... but when I get home, I discover that one of the desk legs is missing its requisite packet of nuts and bolts without which the whole thing is unusable. So I am stuck with my bookshelf until such time as I can get this straightened out, and in the meantime, I haven't had any dinner. ;.;

Oh, and apparently construction of this table requires use of a power drill. >_< Anybody know where I can borrow one?
