woe and wurra! the tale of ikea
May. 26th, 2005 11:15 pmWell, I went to Ikea and bought my desk all right... but when I get home, I discover that one of the desk legs is missing its requisite packet of nuts and bolts without which the whole thing is unusable. So I am stuck with my bookshelf until such time as I can get this straightened out, and in the meantime, I haven't had any dinner. ;.;
Oh, and apparently construction of this table requires use of a power drill. >_< Anybody know where I can borrow one?

Date: 2005-05-27 01:13 pm (UTC)If you actually need something drilled, however, then something's wrong with the table. Take it back to Ikea and tell them you can't get the table put together without something being drilled. Have them do it for you! (Unless you really really want a power drill, in which case I highly recommend a rechargable Sears drill, or a Makita; you can get a lower-power Makita for about $40, and it'll last you about ten years.)
