Well, I'm especially proud of myself because in my dorm room, there is actually absolutely no provision for hanging curtains. There are no hooks on the walls or bars above them -- heck, the wall is even brick, so putting in nails or screws would be impossible even if it were allowed. I finally managed to get them up with two plastic hooks, attached to the wall by adhesive, with a chain running between them and the curtain hanging on the chain. The first time I tried, not only would it not stay up with any tension because the horizontal tension would pull it off the hook, but it got in the way of the blinds and I couldn't open them to let light in. So I took the hooks off and hung them up on the ceiling, with the hooks each facing away from the window, and put the chain on that. It seems to be working. ^^
There was absolutely no need to explain all that, except that I feel inordinately pleased with myself. Go problem-solving!
