Sep. 15th, 2003 11:19 amFinally caved in and spent some of my money on a powder compact from the supermarket. Usually, I don't bother with any kind of makeup, but -- since I've come to SoCal, I pretty much have to put on sunscreen before I go *anywhere* every morning, and it inevitably makes me look greasy. Using powder is the only way to alleviate that look. If it happens to dim my freckles a bit, too, that's merely an unexpected side effect.

I've also discovered that anime pins worn on the backpack are a good way to send signals to any fellow anime fans in the room. ^_^ After Japanese this morning one of my classmates came up and commented on my Aya and Yohji pins -- "and is this Hakkai? And Tasuki! *squeal!*" It was enormously cute. We chatted about how Weiss Gluehen butchered the characters as we walked out of class.</lj-cut>
[edit] In other news, I have my first day of work today. *crosses fingers that she won't accidentally erase the entire network or something* [/edit]
