This past 24 hours has been quite an interesting one, for two main reasons.

1) Zania bought me a paid account at LJ! *tackleglomp* Thank you so much! But now I need to have a nifty background. Help, anyone? :(

2) I have a job.

Selling cutlery.

O.O >.< O.O

The whole process took six hours. I'm still processing it. I got the flyer on Monday when I got home, and called them at 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon. They set up an interview for 6:00 that evening, and by 8:30 that night they told me I had the job.

Selling cutlery, no less.

Not that I don't think I can do it -- I think I can, and I told them so, mainly because I honestly believe that it's a good product that is needed in everyday life. But, well, you know! It wouldn't have ever been the sort of job that I went for on my own. But the pay is good, and I absolutely need to have job experience under my belt. Something other than college jobs or retail, which are the easiest jobs to get, but which do you the least good in terms of getting other jobs that you want.

I go in for training on Thursday.

*pets* Selling CutCo isn't hard, as long as you're an outgoing person. My problem was getting refferals to other people I could sell to. I would like to admit though, that I pimped out all my relatives. ^^v

Well, neither am I. But I'm not sure that spending a summer in a retail job listening to insane customers bitch at me would be any better in that regard, so I'll take my chances.

Yeah, there's a certain, special frustration that comes with being a college student and dealing with people who not only can't count their toes, but can't even see them anyway. People who stand their saying, "Fourteen? The price says $12.99! You rip me off!" because they don't understand that I'm not going to waive the sales tax just because they're not a US citizen. O_o*

On the other hand, you get plenty of funny stories that you can share on customers_suck. ^_~
