I'm getting really bloody, fucking sick of this. Every weekend guaranteed, either Friday or Saturday afternoon or evening or both, people play music out on the Mound sufficiently loud enough to be heard in every dorm room on campus. In fact, so loud that it is impossible to sleep, listen to other music, concentrate on work, or do anything at all except listen to the music that they want.

What the fuck is up with this? Why does the Dean of Activities allow this? Do Pitzer students really have nothing better to do than to go and listen to these weekly concerts?

*hugs* They call it "the college experience." It's dorm life.

In my dorm, where there was abolutely no alcohol allowed, noisy drunken parties were regular affairs. I was there for about two days before I wanted to leave. They used to congregate in the area right outside my window, and after a couple times, I went to the RA's room to tell her about it. She wasn't there. So I tried poking my head out the door to ask them to move away (the room was incredibly stuffy so having the window closed was unbearable), and lo and behold, the RA was among them. Stupid ho.

Anyway, scope out locations for rooms and try to request a better one next year, if you can.

And yeah... a lot of the students really do think they have nothing better to do. O_o*

*hugs* Yeah, yeah. I shouldn't bitch so much, I really have it pretty good. But I already had a headache, darn it, and then there was music coming in through my window loud enough to rattle the keys in my keyboard... just put me in a bad mood.

Trust me, I hear you loud and clear.

... though probably not as loud as the music was. >_<

Don't worry, though. You'll live through it and have torture stories for other people. The first time you say, "when I was your age," make sure you notice it. >_
