*squeaka squeaka*
Jan. 22nd, 2003 08:22 pmI've got a comfy chair! *grins and twirls around* It's rolly and suede-y and much more comfortable than my old one. (It had darn well better be, considering the hassle I had getting it up three flights of stairs!)
I love getting packages. ^_^
I less like buying books. @_@ Most of the students in Claremont were there buying textbooks the other day. there were so many! they were so expensive! Only to discover that of the two huge brick-like Norton anthologies that I bought for $60 a pop, I only need a third of it. and the third comes seperate. >.< I have to go grocery shopping, too... where does all the money go? o.o
I more like my new classes. Traditions of Japanese Religions is taught by a Buddhist nun. o.o How cool is that? Survey of British Lit turns out to be less work than I thought it would be, and Intro to Philosophy is taught by none other than Ron Rubin (of 'Modern Occult' and 'getting-kicked-out-of-the-philosophy-department' fame.) He scorns Logical Positivism. This should be fun. *grin*
The only one I'm not sure I like is fencing. I don't like competitive sports, and fencing seems to have all these finicky rules you hafta follow. If we could fence like Heero and Dorothy, now, I'd like it more. *grin* Still, I'd better decide yea or nay before the time comes to hand in that entrance fee. >.< It's not like I get credit for P.E. courses anyway.
I hope that chair doesn't fall off my bookcase and kill me. o.o
