Things learned at last night's karaoke:

1) Everyone who goes to karaoke sings Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." Everyone. Not only did we sing it ourselves, but on later trips out in the hallways, we heard no less than FOUR other rooms singing the same song.

2) Five Long Island Iced Teas is too many.

3) The only thing that can make karaoke better, is having someone in your group who knows ASL, so she can stand up next to the screen and provide translations of the lyrics. :)

Glee put me off from ever wanting to hear 'Don't Stop Believing' again. I'm sure your group did a great job with it, though!

FIVE??? lol, I don't think I could handle two! Or maybe not even one - I'm such a lightweight when it comes to drinking.

At our family's rock band parties the song that always came up was Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer." Sung with an eardrum piercing screech. Now whenever I hear that song I feel compelled to sing along in the same manner. I pity those around me. ^__^

Re your #2, I learned that same lesson recently at a wedding, except it was Midas Ale (which is a ridiculously strong ancient ale). Sheesh!

At this point I would expect that Long Island Tea or Long Island anything would be diluted beyond tasting with extra water.
