This sitting on the floor stuff is for the birds

Okay, I wasn't going to do this yet because I didn't want to spend any more chunks of money until I got a job (still haven't yet, btw :( ) but I've decided that today I'm going to go out and buy a desk. Sitting ont he floor like this is starting to give me serious back and leg aches. >__<

In other news, absolutely no progress on trying to get my missing money back from Japan. Nobody I've talked to has been any help at all -- the embassy says there's nothing they can do, the JET program says it's not their problem. But it really should be. It kind of IS their job to take care of legal scuffles that the JETs find themselves in, and it's beginning to look like this is what this is going to have to be. :\

Also no job yet. Starbucks finally got back to me and said that they "will not be following up on my application at this time." I'm not panicking yet because I still have a second interview on Tuesday from the first IT help position I interviewed with back in September. I really, really hope that goes well. If that turns out to be a wash too, THEN I'll start panicking.

I haven't bought a desk yet, but are you sure? It's been weeks and I've seen no sign or indication that a package was supposed to be delivered here. O.o I did get the bookshelf from you, was that what you meant?

see, i got you the bookshelf and the desk. you had me in birthday/holiday debt for a few years so I figured I owed you. It just shipped from the fedex facility so i'm guessing it'll be to you some time next week. i'll let you know when i get another update on the shipping.

Aw! Well, I am definitely glad that I found out before I went to get the desk! I thought that a bookshelf was more than enough, and I am amazed and grateful that you wanted to give me a desk as well <3 Hopefully I will see it this week! Thanks so much!
