I leave for the airport in three hours, and I got home from work to find that my backpack was diseased. Damn you, Toyama humidity!

So, for those who didn't know, I'm taking off to the States for a week or two. I will probably still be online most of the time, me being me. :p But, I promise not to spend my last days at my parents' house playing World of Warcraft this time!

Can't say I'm sorry to leave for a while... they don't call this rainy season for nothing. If I could, I'd bring all my laundry home with me. I can wash it here, but there are no drying machines, and the concept of "outdoor drying" in this weather is laughable.

At least my apartment is still, um, fairly clean after Asidian's visit... I never did scrub the floor, but oh well. No time now. *crosses fingers that she won't come home to bugs.* D:

I'm going to have to layover in Tokyo tonight, in order to catch the morning plane out. I admit I'm a little worried, since I don't have a place to stay and I've never checked into a hotel in Japan in my life. :X I also had a cunning plan to acquire Book 7 of Harry Potter here before I got on the plane, so as to read it on the plane ride, but I think I'll be happier just not to die on the trip, thank you very much.

Oh gods, the dreaded mould-from-humidity D: Freind of mine went to Costa Rica for a few months and just threw everything away once she was back, it was that bad. Have fun, love!

*huggles* Have a good trip! Post when you get to the States, so that we know you're alive and not covered in mold.

You aren't allowed to spend all weeking reading HP7, either! You can find out who dies on the flight back, assuming you don't die on the trip here.

Curiously enough Austin, which is usually a bake-oven by late July, is, this time around, rainy, saturated and quite humid; so you should feel quite at home. Mi fungus es su fungus.
