hair bad!

I need a haircut so bad, I'm going to even brave the language barrier this weekend to get one. My hair is AWFUL. It's shaggy, overgrown, badly layered, and split ends everywhere. (No, I will NOT provide pictures. :))

This is the hazard of trying to grow hair out long after keeping it short for years and years. I don't even know what I should be TRYING to do with it now. But the part in the front is now just about long enough to come down to my jaw, so I'll go to the barber and see if I can get it cut to that length even all around, up to the nape of my neck in the back. If this is successful, I'll take pictures THEN.

we're having a similar problem w/ Jay's hair. i want it a long length but it's troublesome with how fast it grows on him.
his most recent haircut works pretty well. it's much longer on top (as in the bits that grow from the crown of his head) than the bits on the nape of the neck. meaning that it's almost the same length at the bottom, give or take an inch or so.
not sure if you can explain that very well w/ language difficulties. maybe pictures?
