window into heaven

kodalaiSo on the way home from work today, I saw God’s Eye in the sky.
In a sky filled with masses of white thunderclouds, one patch of clear blue sky, exactly in the shape of a human eye, had moved directly over the sun. Filtered through the thinnest of cloud veils, I could look directly into the eye of the sun like a glimpse into the primal source of creation. In all directions from the eye, white-gold rays of light streamed outwards and rained down on the world. As I watched, the clouds moved, the eyelid opened, and the pupil became too bright to look at any more.
If I were a religious type, I probably would have been praying. As I’m not, I hope I never forget the sight.
