Random Christmas stuff.
Dec. 13th, 2005 08:18 pmI got my prospectus done and turned in. From 1 to 15 in 6.5 hours! HA! HAHAHAHA! PROCRASTINATRIX RIDES AGAIN! As of 4:15 this afternoon I was a free man. Tomorrow I'm leaving to go to Austin. I'll have net access there, but none of my files or stuff. So, er, yeah.
Some random christmasy things. First, a link to an OLD but still absolutely adorable post of comics on
scans_daily. Christmas with Bart!
Secondly, I mentioned that I bought and decorated a tree. I did take pictures, although because of the flash it's not as pretty in pictures as it is in real life. Picture under the cut.

I dubbed it an "Ed-tree" because it's decorated in red and gold, and only comes up to my chin. :)
Also, I got this as a gift for the toy drive the Salvation Army was doing through my school. The tag said "boy 3-4" and I don't know much about boy 3-4 toys, but I thought it sounded like it was still in the teddy bear range. Plus there's a higher than average possibility that these gifts will be going to kids in the foster care system, and I'm given to understand that foster care kids need lovies.

This picture simply does not do justice to his incredible cuddlability. Those toy makers really know their stuff. I picked him up once in the store and it was immediately "...NEVER LEAVING MY ARMS AGAIN!" Really, he was just the right size, shape, and softness to cuddle forever. I was almost sorry to give him away, but my appreciation for plush toys is really not great enough to be worth keeping it.
So, time to go and pack and pre-holiday clean. See y'all around!

Date: 2005-12-14 06:06 am (UTC)Actually, didn't you say your folks are along the canyon? That's the prettiest part of the city (well, if you can't be right next to a creek, that is), and it's about a fifteen minute drive from here. No problemo. We'll meet you at Kerbey Lane, which makes a good halfway point from just about anywhere.
Guess this means we should poke Zan to remind her to clear her schedule for at least one weekend, eh.

SEE YOU SOON but not soon enough.
