car whines:

I want my license plates to come. *whines* I'm approaching the end of the semester, having bought this car at the BEGINNING of the semester, and still no plates. They called me back to the seller place a few weeks ago and told me that the DMV had screwed up the paperwork and they needed another smog check, and that was why my plates hadn't come, and that they'd come soon. Dammit.

I want my windshield wipers to work properly. >_< They worked when I got them and now for some reason they just don't. Or rather, the wipers work fine, but they just won't spray water. I should take it back to the auto place, I guess. It's very difficult to clean my windshielf without that spray thing. At least while not at a gas station, and considering that I've only visited a gas station twice since buying this car, that's not a useful option.

Now, uh, how often was one supposed to get one's oil checked/changed? Three months or one thousand miles, whichever comes first? I suppose I just go back to the auto place for that too.

One of the sports clubs is selling snarky college tshirts as a fundraiser. I bought a Pitzer shirt that said "Why Go to College When You Can Go to Pitzer?" on the back. :3 I love it. I want the others.

Housing blah blah anxious blah dead ends phone phobia blah blah end of term stress blah research papers blah. I'm still looking for a summer job. I picked up a bunch of applications today at the mall but I think my early job-hunting experiences have convinced me, deep down inside, that I will never ever get a job. Ever.

Every three thousand miles, or when the seasons change. So, well, now, since we're entering summer. Go to Jiffy Lube or any other quick-oil place. DO NOT LET THEM USE QUAKER STATE. It contains paraffin, and after it's in your car, you will have to ALWAYS use Quaker State again. If you don't have the money, and don't think you will regularly, tell them to use natural oil. Synthetic (like Mobil One) is better, but if you're not driving massive distances and/or on a regular basis, natural oil is just fine, and little bit cheaper. Make a note of what oil they use, and have them note it on the reminder they'll put on your windshield. That way you can at least have peace of mind by saying, "oh, last time the place used Penzoil."

Have you checked to make sure your wiper repository is full? If you go to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, they'll fill up your wiper repository as well. If that's not the issue, they may have a suggestion or two about what's going on. They see enough cars, after all, so often they're good all-round basic mechanics even if I wouldn't have them do a brake change.

It is full. I even bought a thing of wiper fluid, only to discover it was already full when I went to refill it. *blink* I don't know what's up. Maybe it's blocked somewhere in the line.
