So I, uh, didn't really get much accomplished. ^^; Problematic since my term paper prospectus was due today.

*I'm doing scanning at work. This is awesome. You know how normally, usual job is basically getting paid to surf, as long as I answer the phone if it rings? Well, scanning is like that, but with no phone. But I'm also doing stuff at the same time, so I don't feel guilty or get bored. ^^v
**TMI: Went to get my hand treated. Doctor put liquid nitrogen all over it. My fingers have now bubbled up all over with blisters. Makes holding a pen to write v. difficult. However, hooray for free student visits... Crap, I have to get them their check with the copay. And go back next wednesday.

Which meant I did all my taxes today, rather than yesterday. Yay taxes. *SPORK* for those online tax companies that the IRS redirects you to. I had to hop through three before I found one that wouldn't choke my browser with stupid.

And because I said I would and you encouraged me, here's a meme for you guys. A new one, I mean. Feel free to gank.

[edit] Almost new, anyway. XD;

President Bush's iPod.

"iPod One," as the player has been dubbed, is used by Bush while he pedals around his Texas ranch on a mountain bike, presidential media adviser Mark McKinnon told the newspaper.

Writing in the London Times, Caitlin Moran noted: "No black artists, no gay artists, no world music, only one woman, no genre less than 25 years old, and no Beatles."

"This is basically boomer rock 'n' roll and more recent music out of Nashville made for boomers. It's safe, it's reliable, it's loving. What I mean to say is, it's feel-good music."

If you could upload ONE mp3 from your music collection to President Bush's iPod, what would it be?

Copy the list of the person you ganked it from, and add your own to the bottom. You may also, if you wish, choose to delete one from the list and replace it with your own.

1. "Tuesday Morning" by Melissa Etheridge
*2. "Lives in the Balance" by Jackson Browne

Y'know, for some reason I remember being younger -- I think at a Girl Scout event -- and we were discussing The Lorax, and for some reason I quoted the lyrics of a Jackson Browne song to make my point. Afterwards (like, 10 seconds after) I felt utterly mortified, because I was sure all the adults in the room thought I was an idiot. Looking back on it now, I'm pretty sure their reactions where more in line with "WTF? Why is this 8-yr-old-girl listening to Jackson Browne?" I didn't really have a conception of different 'kinds' of music back then. XD
