Housing is maddening

This morning I got a call from the apartment complex. It seems they approved me after all. I was sure they wouldn't because I wasn't employed. But I turned them down because 1) they didn't allow pets under any circumstances, 2) there was a headache-inducing smell lingering (from the previous pets, sadly) and 3rd and most importantly because it was way more space than I needed and I just didn't want to pay that much for space I didn't need.

Should I have taken it? It was otherwise a perfectly serviceable apartment. And I didn't really expect to get approved. And I can't keep sleeping on cryogenia's floor forever. And I haven't heard from any other apartment place yet.

This is driving me crazy...

Now I have to go write a resume. argh.
