Yeah... so, the sky was a nice pinkish tan color today, and it was over a hundred degrees.

Sometime this afternoon, I noticed my chest was hurting, as though I had gone swimming in chlorinated water. Not sure which to hope for:

1) That being sleep-deprived in San Fran all weekend has caused me to pick up some kind of chest cold, or

2) That the pretty pink sky is the result of lots of nasty stuff floating around in the air.
On the down side, there's a fire on Mt. Baldy. The northern sky is consumed by smoke. It's very depressing.

On the up side, one of my classes has finally worked around to a point that's seemed frustratingly obvious to me for weeks.

cut for views on economics which might be offensive, if they were coherent )

But he let us go a half-hour early, so I'm all happy. It is now officially the weekend, i.e. more time for me to put off all this work which has piled up over the break. Yay!
