More psychology...
Oct. 13th, 2004 06:35 pmMeeting with Abnormal Psych prof went even better than expected. She was completely sympathetic, and said she didn't hold me responsible since there was so much confusion at the start of the term over the book. Apparently the reason she had approved it before was that she'd just looked at the publishing date, and this was the fifth edition, *updated* for 2004, so she'd thought it was the recent one when it still is the old version.
She also said that she'd been surprised by the grade I got on the exam, since she'd seen how I participated in class and thought, and I quote, that I "showed more sophistication than that." Bwar. Thanks for the vote of confidence, prof.
So, not only is she willing to let me re-take the exam, but she said she'd actually give me a copy of the proper book. I started to demur -- these things are expensive, y'know -- but she pointed out that as a psychology professor, she gets them for free. Hey. Who am I to argue with that?
Now I just have to make sure I don't bomb the re-take. Somehow I'm not worried.
Yay, fall break!
