Pond, was it you who told me about a new video player for the Mac which ought to have all the divX encoders? I'm pretty sure it was, and I know I dl'd the app and tried it out, but I can't find it now and I can't remember its name~!

It's called VLC, i think it's available from www.videolan.org but if not, just search at versiontracker.com
