Lord of the Rings: Return of the King won best picture at the Oscars!

There's other news, most of it relating to hanging with Sera and Aoi and not getting work done, but first I have to do all the homework I'm not going to have time to do for the next week, and check my mail.

Observation: Peter Jackson can make ANYTHING look grungy.

Further observation: All the women were taller than all the hobbits. Wonder what the heels on them must have been?

Whee!

Who did he say that in relation to? We didn't watch the whole thing -- we turned it on a little of the way into it, and didn't pay attention to all of it until the last few awards.

Peter Jackson, who is, of course, a hobbit.

Funniest he was the entire time I had the TV on (about an hour. I just wanted to see LotR win Best Picture). Although Jack Black and Will Ferrell win the prize for their song "Your Boring," sung to the tune of that music they play when someone's acceptance speech goes on too long.

That was pretty damn awesome. That, and "On drums..." were the high points of the evening for me.
