random on calcium
Nov. 11th, 2003 05:09 pmMy calcium pills ran out a little while ago, so I went down to the pharmacy and bought some more. Questioned the pharmacist (white man this time, what happened to the elderly-looking asian woman, I really liked her!) about this brand vs. this brand, usage instructions, possible side effects. He seemed pleased that I was asking and explained readily enough, but there was just a hint of a salesman-y demeneor that it made me suspicious. Decided not to get iron pills just yet.
However, as near as I can ascertain, calcium is about as inert as chalk and won't react to anything I eat, drink, smoke, take, or produce endogenously, so it's hard to overdose.
