stupid ash
Oct. 25th, 2003 10:47 pm*shakes ashes out of bra* Grr... so annoying. Makes bike-riding impossible.
Smoke cloud covered 4/5 of the sky today... there was a point where you could look directly at the sun, it was just this big red dot in the sky. When night fell, I felt like I was at summer camp... everything smells like woodsmoke, and there are ashes flying around. Hence the ashes in bra. -_-
Oddly enough, this is making me rather homesick for dreary winter days in Philadelphia. The heavy gray sky... flying flecks of white... if it wasn't 95 degrees out, I'd be wishing for Christmas carols.

Yeuch on the ash, by the way. I guess that's one of the downsides of living in a warm climate like SoCal. Mass may have snow in October, but I suppose it's generally wetter, so there's less, y'know, vegetation catching on fire. It almost makes up for the seven-month winter.
