Correct me if I'm wrong here...

But in J.K. Rowling's third book, she introduces a character she calls a hippogriff.

But it's not a hippogriff. It doesn't have any horse parts.

Am I just remembering wrong?

the back legs of her hippogriffs are those of horses, if I remember correctly.
