it makes a lovely paperweight
May. 7th, 2006 02:25 amToday I was over at
alphasean's. We went out walking around the UCLA campus and there was ... a random Indian craft fair! We bought two fox tails and a deer leg (I still owe you for the tails, I haven't forgotten!) The fox tails are nice, will be useful for cosplay, but the deer leg... is the damnedest thing. It's not good FOR anything, it's just.... the bottom of a leg of a deer. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE ITS AWESOMENESS.
It just fits so perfectly in your hand, and it's weighted so perfectly, you really just want to whack something with it. Or poke something with it. All of a sudden, you understand what our ancestors must have felt all those millions of years ago on the savannah, when they picked up an antelope leg and suddenly thought "Hey, I could use this to smack my neighbor with!"
And thus was born the dawn of humankind.
