Getting ready to fly home to Texas for Christmas. I can't wait to get out of here, frankly. The weather has been disgusting. It's hovered between 30 and 40 degrees and I haven't seen the sun in 3 weeks, and the sun goes down at 3:30.
While it might seem petty to complain about the weather, well... because I have to walk or bike everywhere in this town, when the weather is like this it pretty much keeps me inside all the time. I haven't really been able to go anywhere or do anything for weeks now, without risking instant plague (I went down to the conbini four days ago, in -- surprise, surprise -- the rain, and was sick for the next three days. :\)
I don't know whether it's just the ugly weather, or loneliness (I've hardly seen anyone to talk to for the last few weeks, either) or some lingering fallout from my accident a few weeks ago, but I've been feeling pretty depressed for a while. I'm looking forward to going home, spending some time, resting, oh, and did I mention having a real clothes dryer? Why the hell the Japanese do without them, in a climate where it rains at 33° for three weeks straight, I have no idea. I've basically been reduced to drying my garments in front of the heater one piece at a time in order to have clean clothes to take home.
I really hope that the time at home restores some of my living-overseas resilience, or spirit of adventure, or something, because right now I ain't finding much enjoyable about living here.

B/C I'm a lot more dedicated to Avatar than I ever was to Last Exile.
