blackouts

...seem to be the word of the day. First there was the 24 hour blackout from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening. Then today I went to the Hair Cuttery to try and get a haircut, but while I was there, there was an enormous storm -- one girl swore she saw a mini twister -- and the power went out *there* too. Without light, they couldn't cut, so after a couple minutes of hanging around hopefully, most of the customers there left. I'm just thankful that the power went out just *before* she started to cut my hair, rather than in the middle.

Blackouts are only exciting for the first 15 minutes.
